We are very pleased to share the news that Public Art Matters exhibitor Miki Iwasaki of MI Workshop, and nonprofit sponsor The New Children’s Museum, were selected as one of 10 recipients for the San Diego Foundation’s 2013-2014 Creative Catalyst Fellowship Program. Some exciting workshops and events are coming up in association with the program, including workshops centered around the exploration of wind-generated power. Kids will learn the fundamental concepts behind wind generators, and be a part of the creative process as they design and prototype an installation at the museum.
Read about the workshops, “Meet the Artist” events and see what else MI Workshop is up to (a lot!!) by clicking here. And be sure to check out the first workshop, “Wind Basics,” offered twice, at 11:00 and 1:00 this Sunday, February 23. The 11:00 is open to museum members only. The 1:00 workshop is open to members and non-members, and is free with cost of museum admission. More info here.
